Accomplishments
In 2008, WINGS achieved the following as part of its efforts to bring reproductive health information and services to youth:
Supported youth peer educators who provided 1,556 educational talks, reaching 9,967 young people;- Trained 39 new peer educators;
- Supported 78 current peer educators with training and materials;
- Conducted a 24-hour electronic baby training for all peer educators;
- Provided a five-day workshop series to 26 public school teachers on how to provide effective sex education.
