What We Do

WINGS’ Mission:

WINGS creates opportunities for Guatemalan families to improve their lives by providing them with family planning education and access to reproductive health services.

Programs:

WINGS has programs in six primary areas:

  • Family Planning - Increasing access to family planning information and services;
  • Youth - Raising awareness about sexual and reproductive health among adolescents;
  • Cervical Cancer - Providing cervical cancer detection and treatment services;
  • Men - Increase knowldege about sexual and reproductive health among men through educational workshops, mass media campaigns, peer educators and training of health care providers;
  • Advocacy - Advocating for the implementation of the Law on Universal and Equitable Access to Family Planning Services (Decree 87-2005);
  • Capacity Building - Training partner organizations in reproductive health and family planning.
