Laurel White, Development Director
Laurel joined WINGS in August 2008 as a Development Officer and recently transitioned into the role of Development Director in June 2009. She works to build WINGS' financial resources through various fundraising initiatives involving individual donors, as well as the Antigua and on-line communities. Prior to joining WINGS, Laurel worked as a litigation associate at Davis, Polk & Wardwell in New York City. Laurel has a B.S. in Commerce, with concentrations in finance and management, from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia and a J.D. from New York University. While at law school, Laurel interned in the international litigation department of the Center for Reproductive Rights, where she advocated for the enforcement of reproductive rights granted under international human rights treaties. Laurel is thrilled to be living in Antigua and to be working alongside WINGS staff in their efforts to promote reproductive health and family planning in Guatemala.
