Flori joined WINGS in September 2010 as the Program Assistant for the Cervical Cancer Prevention and Treatment Program. Flori is trained to provide VIA/CRYO therapy for the rapid detection and treatment of cervical cancer at clinics in the communities of Sacatepéquez, Chimaltenango, and Escuintla. In addition, she is responsible for coordinating with organizations and community leaders to bring quality services to groups of women who have never undergone a pelvic exam to detect cervical cancer. Before every clinic, Flori conducts educational presentations on risk factors for cervical cancer and the VIA/CRYO method, explaining the benefits of same-day detection and treatment.
