Angel joined the WINGS for Men Program in August 2010 as a Peer Educator in the department of Escuintla. Angel began his career in the field of sexual and reproductive health at the age of 15 years-old. Over the years he has worked extensively with various public and private institutions within Guatemala, including: APROFAM, CICAM, the Ministry of Public Health, the Penitentiary System and ASI. He remains committed to providing a better quality of life for marginalized communities and has devoted much of his work to serving persons living with HIV/AIDS, prisoners, and gang members. Currently, Angel is pursuing a degree in Human Rights at the University of San Carlos in Guatemala City. His vision is to see a more responsible Guatemala, one that is just and free from discrimination.
